Wevo is an app for meeting new people and making friends. Build your avatar, decorate your room and meet others in the plaza. When the like goes both ways, the chat opens.

How to try the beta

Wevo is in beta on iPhone and Android. Pick your phone: it takes a couple of minutes.

iPhone

With TestFlight, Apple’s app for trying apps before they launch.

  1. Install TestFlight

    It’s free on the App Store, if you don’t have it yet.

  2. Open our invite

    On your iPhone, open the link, tap Accept, then Install.

  3. Step into Wevo

    Create your profile and take a stroll around the plaza.

Requires iOS 15 or later.

Android

With Google Play testing, open to anyone who joins the testers group.

  1. Join the testers group

    Open Wevo Tester and tap Join group, using the Google account on your phone.

  2. Turn on the beta

    Open the Google Play invite and tap Become a tester.

  3. Install Wevo

    Get it from the Play Store and take a stroll around the plaza.

Requires Android 7 or later. Please stay in the group for at least two weeks: that’s what we need to get onto the Play Store.

Your room, your guest list

Leave it open to friends or have them knock before coming in. And anyone you don’t want around, you can send away.

    You must be at least 18 to sign up for Wevo.

  • Block and report

    Block or report a profile in two taps. Reports are reviewed by our team.

  • Screened photos

    The photos you upload go through an automated check.

  • Optional verification

    You don’t have to use a photo of yourself. For the Verified badge, a selfie is enough, and it stays private.

How can I try Wevo?

Through the beta: on iPhone via TestFlight, on Android via Google Play testing. You’ll find the steps for both in How to try the beta. If TestFlight is full or your iPhone isn’t compatible, Apple’s page will tell you.

Is there a version for Android or the browser?

Android, yes: join the testers group and install the beta from Google Play, the steps are here. Not in the browser, though: this site introduces the app, but you can’t sign in from here.

Is Wevo a dating app?

No, it’s made for meeting people and making friends. You can chat and spend time in rooms and in the plaza, without having to arrange a meetup in real life.

Do I have to use a photo of myself?

No. You can use a photo, your avatar or another image that follows the community rules. The selfie is only needed if you want the Verified badge.

What’s the minimum age?

18, during the beta too.

How do I report a problem during testing?

On iPhone, open Wevo in TestFlight and tap “Send Beta Feedback”. On Android, write to us at hello@wevospace.com, which works from iPhone too. Tell us what happened and, if you can, attach a screenshot.
